Brokerage rates & fees

Brokerage fees depend on the value of the trade and how many trades you’ve made in a calendar month.

1st Trade

  • $19.95 for trade value up to $5000
  • $24.45 for trade value ranging from $5,001 up to $10,000
  • $29.95 for trade value ranging from $10,001 up to $28,000
  • 0.11% for trade value greater than $28,000

2nd trade & subsequent

  • $19.95 for trade value up to $18,000
  • 0.11% for trade value greater than $18,000

The $19.95 brokerage rate will apply for the first online trade up to $5,000 and each subsequent online trade up to or equal to $18,000 for that calendar month. For full details, visit rates and fees.

Eligible accounts are St.George, BankSA or Bank of Melbourne transaction accounts that permit direct debits. Check your bank account terms and conditions if you are unsure. Accounts that are not eligible include savings and term deposit accounts.

The minimum value of shares you can purchase in one company through Directshares is $500, plus brokerage.

There are no monthly account-keeping fees or subscription fees in relation to a Directshares Standard trading account. An account maintenance fee may apply. For full details visit rates and fees.
